Which theme should you use to decorate your Christmas tree according to your zodiac sign?

Just before Christmas, some people can scratch their heads about how to decorate their tree this year.

The astrology experts at the US website PsychicWorld.com suggest decorating your tree based on the personality traits associated with your zodiac sign.

For example, brave and ambitious Aries may want to try an ombre theme that will stand out, while Pisces like to cross the line between fantasy and reality and delight in a candy-inspired tree.

Here's a closer look at how each zodiac sign is supposed to decorate …

Aries (March 21st – April 19th)

Christmas tree theme: Ombre

Brave and ambitious Aries love to be number one, which is why they need a topic that stands out from the rest. Perfectly expressive, an ombre theme follows a gradient in the palette that the decorator likes.

All you have to do is start light at the top and get darker as you go. For example, you could put white stars at the top, arctic blue spheres in the middle, and dark blue ribbons at the bottom for a winter wonderland theme.

Aires will enjoy a "punchy" ombre theme, while Taurus' love of picturesque settings will be content with a Christmas tree decorated with forest dwellers

Taurus (April 20th – May 20th)

Christmas tree theme: forest creatures

Bulls enjoy a quiet, rustic setting, which makes Woodland Creatures the perfect theme for this sign. To do this, wrap a simple series of twinkling lights around the tree, then decorate it with paper mache deer, felt squirrels, and lots of woodland animal ornaments.

This theme is not only rustic but also whimsical. Perfect for the outdoors who want to pretend they're celebrating Christmas in the open air surrounded by nature.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Christmas tree theme: multicolored

Twins are a busy sign that some say they need a clone of themselves to get everything done. As such, a Gemini can feel drawn in many directions.

What compliments this sign more than a multi-colored Christmas tree theme! If you're a twin who has no time or focus, this one is for you for colors and clashing decorations, from giant red balls to blue bows and gold tinsel.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Christmas Tree Theme: Old Fashioned

Those with the cancer sign are delicate and easily absorb energy. To compliment this, stick to a traditional old-fashioned Christmas tree.

Delicate red, gold and orange tones ensure that cancer sufferers feel comfortable in their surroundings. Add several dried orange slices to your tree for an extra touch – the smell they send through the house is the essence of Christmas.

Leo (July 23rd – August 22nd)

Christmas Tree Theme: Glam Gilded

This spirited fire sign is known to bask in the light with a theatrical and intense passion, similar to the theme of Glam Gilded! Create a warm Christmas glow with a breathtaking color palette in gold and bronze.

For added sparkle and glamor (not to mention drama) make decorations oversized and sparkling.

Virgo (23 August – 22 September)

Christmas tree theme: farmhouse

This earth sign presents practical, perfectionist qualities that fit the farmhouse theme. Neutral golds and whites mix with most decorations and are a great base for any farmhouse or country chic look.

Then all you need is a few festive and rustic details such as a rattan topper, a quilted tree skirt or red checkered bows. The trick with this topic is to start simply and then build on as much or as little as you like, whichever suits the perfectionists among us!

Libra (September 23rd – October 22nd)

Christmas Tree Theme: Minimalist

The harmony and balance of the scales work perfectly on the minimalist theme. A tree adorned with a simple string of lights and not much else encourages the feeling of an organic environment, so the likelihood of disturbing a Libra's sense of balance is very small.

But if you want to make it more cheerful, why not decorate it sparsely and add a few pine cones and dried orange slices.

Scorpio (October 23rd – November 21st)

Christmas tree theme: white metallic

Scorpio is an intense and powerful sign, so you need a statement, and there is no bigger statement than a white metallic Christmas tree – especially when it is set against dark decor. To complete this look, decorate your tree with large metal balls, giant snowflakes, and lush pearls.

However, if you intend to buy a real, luscious evergreen, you can make an even bigger statement by taking an aerosol can and flocking the end of the branches ice white.

Sagittarius (November 22nd – December 21st)

Christmas tree theme: Nordic Noel

This sign is known for seeking knowledge and chasing geographic, intellectual, and spiritual adventures. To compliment this spirited nature, travel to the Nordic countries for this Nordic Noel theme.

Think of a mix of paper and wood ornaments and delicate garlands hanging over twinkling lights. For extra hygge (a quality of cosiness and pleasant warmth that creates a feeling of satisfaction or well-being; a feature of Danish culture) choose a sheepskin rug instead of a tree skirt.

The adventurous Sagittarius will be associated with the sense of travel that the Nordic Noel theme brings with it. In the meantime, Capricorn doesn't need any frills to transform their space

Capricorn (December 22nd – January 19th)

Christmas tree theme: thin and simple

Mythological Capricorns can navigate both materially and emotionally, which makes them perfect for a thin and simple Christmas tree theme. In short, caps don't need any frills to change their space.

A slender tree fits almost anywhere, and since the body is sparser, the focus is on anything you want to decorate with, be it decadent ornaments or delicate garlands of pearls. A Serbian spruce is a great example of a real tree with a narrow body that is suitable for smaller spaces.

Aquarius (January 20th – February 18th)

Christmas tree theme: sea

It is believed that this humanitarian symbol stands for a mystical healer who gives water or life to the land. A seaside tree theme goes great with this sign.

Think of rope garlands, sand colored and soft blue ornaments, and a starfish on top rather than a star! If you want to maximize this theme, you can put a net on and frame your tree skirt / base in seashells from the beach.

Even if you're not an Aquarius, this might be the perfect theme for those spending Christmas by the seaside this year.

Aquarius is said to be representative of a mystical healer who gives water or life to the land. Pisces is a watermark that will enjoy the vibrant Candy Land theme

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Christmas tree theme: candy land

Pisces is a watermark that reflects a constant separation between fantasy and reality. Step out the Candy Land theme. Throw up every sickly sweet color you can think of. vibrant pink, blue, green, anything goes!

For that extra fantastic pop, sprinkle candy canes and lollipops all over the place. You can even put a few toy soldiers at the base instead of attaching a tree skirt.
