- The incident is believed to have occurred in the early morning of Tuesday morning
Premier League footballer Mikhail Antonio released a social media appeal tonight to track down a cyclist seen in video surveillance while slashing car tires in London – one of which was the star of £ 70,000 a week .
West Ham's youngest four-goal hero went on Instagram tonight to warn others to watch out after his vehicle was targeted in Wapping, East London.
The 30-year-old striker also shared CCTV footage showing a cyclist who appears to be targeting the tires of two vehicles.
The video has the date of Tuesday and a time of 2:40 p.m. – three days after Antonio scored all four goals in his team's 4-0 win over Norwich on Saturday
It starts with the cyclist in a blue Nike bag approaching a black Audi parked on the street next to the sidewalk.
The cyclist is seen on video surveillance as he approaches a black Audi in the streets of Wapping, London
After spending a few seconds with the Audi, he moves towards a Mercedes G-Class
The cyclist appears to be pushing his arm towards the tire of the vehicle
When the cyclist leaves the area, the Mercedes G-Class tire begins to empty
The video was shared by West Ham striker Mikhail Antonio (left) on his Instagram account. The striker, who scored four goals against Norwich on Saturday (pictured right), says his vehicle was one of the goals.
The cyclist spends a few seconds in the far left of the car before driving to the nearby Mercedes G-Class, which is often sold for around £ 100,000.
Then he makes a quick arm movement towards the vehicle tire before driving away. The tire begins to empty.
When he posted the video on social media, he said: "Really don't understand … There's a guy running around and slitting tires!"
"Does anyone know who he is? He has a couple of cars, including mine, so if you're around, be careful. «
It is not clear whether one of the vehicles that the video appears to target is owned by the West Ham striker.
The Met Police was contacted last night for a comment from MailOnline.
Antonio, who signed £ 7m for West Ham in 2015, has played a key role in his team's relegation slide since the Premier League restart after being forced to break due to the corona virus.
He not only scored four goals in Saturday's win against relegated Norwich, but also scored West Ham's decisive 3-2 win over the Champions League, which Chelsea was chasing earlier this month.
Today's striker appeal is not the first time Antonio has made headlines with cars.
In December 2019, he plunged his £ 210,000 Lamborghini Huracan into the trash can of a family home while disguised as a snowman on Christmas Day.
Police and fire departments were called to the address in Balham, south London, after the 29-year-old had driven into the front yard of the house.

He was disguised as a snowman after club training and was apparently on his way to the team hotel at the time of the crash in December 2019
It is alleged that smoke came out of the destroyed super car after it collided with the trash can and sent bricks and debris to the front door of the house.
Although the West Ham striker was reported to have passengers in the car, neither he nor anyone else was injured at the scene of the crime after allegedly getting off the road and hitting a traffic sign.
He was apparently on the way to the West Ham Team Hotel before going to Crystal Palace.
As MailOnline reported at the time, Antonio was considered unfortunate for the family and intended to pay the damage.
