This morning: Ruth Langsford apologizes as guest swears

Ruth Langsford had to apologize to the viewers of This Morning on Monday when her guest swore in the studio live on the air.

Katie Morley took calls from people in need of consumer advice and spoke to a lady named Lesley who reported on an issue for which she had received a refund.

Katie's reply was, "Oh, I'm so sorry darling, this is it!"

The consumer expert quickly put a hand over her mouth when she realized her mistake. Ruth, 60, entered quickly and apologized to the crowd for the early morning slip.

"I apologize for that!" Ruth said when Katie mumbled, "Sorry!"

Ruth's co-host and husband Eamonn Holmes, 60, looked extremely unimpressed by the mistake, at which point Katie tried to move on with the segment.

Ruth and Eamonn hosted This Morning during the week, while Holly Willoughby, 39 and Phillip Schofield, 58, take the summer off.

Last week, Ruth was less impressed when her husband cut her off when they opened the show.

Ruth turned to the camera and began: "Yes, there is the number you have to call to get in touch …"

Eamonn then said: & # 39; Monday morning blues OK? That's exactly what we're talking about. If it's there and in the pit of your stomach and you want to share, please do. & # 39;

Due to the UK government's Covid-19 restrictions, all passengers returning to the UK from Portugal are required to self-isolate for 14 days.

As a result, the TV star flew home two weeks early and will be quarantined with her family at their London home, only to be back on screens by September 7th.

A source told MailOnline: 'Holly accepts that she needs to be quarantined and will follow the rules, but she's not happy to lose two weeks from her vacation.

“The summer break is your chance to recharge after a hectic time and spend time with your family. After all the stress of the pandemic, she had been looking forward to relaxing for as long as possible.

"She had to make it to five instead of seven weeks – but that's what she had to do to protect the This Morning team and make sure she got back to the show on time."

Returning to Work: The source stated that Holly was disappointed, but it's what she had to do to protect the This Morning team and make sure she got back to the show on time.
