A swimmer was killed by a shark on a beach on the Gold Coast.
The awful mule happened just after 5 p.m. on Greenmount Beach when the man believed to be in his 60s was bitten on the leg.
Emergency teams rushed to the popular tourist spot and paramedics treated the man on the bank, but he could not be saved.

Lifeguards evacuated other swimmers from the water and tried to help the man before paramedics arrived.
The man was swimming near the Tweed Heads and the Coolangatta Lifesaving Club when he was attacked.
A police spokesman said the man had been pulled out of the water and the investigation into the attack was ongoing.
The attack is the first on a Queensland beach in decades.
