An accomplished mother of two shared how she manages to feed her family of four on a budget of just £ 1.47 per capita per day while still preparing delicious meals.
Scarborough make-up artist Drew Smith announced she prepares three meals a day and desserts for a total of £ 164.24 for the month.
Her delicious meals include everything from fresh fish with new potatoes and vegetables to spicy beef and garlic baguettes to homemade pizza.
For dessert, she also made blueberry cake, chocolate cake, jam roly-poly, and cheesecake.
Drew posted on the Facebook group, fed a family £ 1 a day and shared their diet. He revealed that she is shopping at Tesco Online to get the bargain prices.

“In the past few weeks I've seen a lot of people struggling with their budgets to support their families and asking for cheap food ideas. It makes me a little sad that some people really struggle so much that I want to try to help.
“I'm in no way a master chef, but I like doing something close to a home cooked meal every day and something quite nutritious for lunch and breakfast. I feed a family of four (two adults, two children) and try to keep the costs down myself.
"I put together a four-week 'standard meal plan' that relies heavily on the types of foods my children like," she wrote.
“I understand that not everyone will like everything on this list, and I know that there are other ways to prepare the meals that I have been offering here. I simply chose the cheaper options to help families struggling to get tasty meals at a cheaper price.

“I've also opted for the cheaper ingredients in most cases, so no bashing please, I just hope to help.
“I also understand that people have different sized servings, so I settled on an overall size that would support my family.
Drew added her tips would be to "gather the ingredients wherever you can".
She also said she had a baking day once a week to prepare the desserts for the week ahead.
