Could you smash a THREE KILO hook? The hot dog restaurant urges foodies to eat their meter-long sausage – and you only have 30 minutes to rip them off

  • An Australian restaurant presented the ultimate hot dog challenge for customers
  • The task is to complete a giant three-pound hot dog in 30 minutes or less
  • When the challenge is completed, customers will get their money back
  • You will also be placed on the Wall of Fame and given a $ 50 voucher

An Australian restaurant asks hungry customers to accept their 3kg hot dog.

Ninth Street on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland serves the monstrous, meter-long food for $ 50 – but polish it off and get your money back.

Gourmets who manage to eat the giant sausage – and two servings of french fries – will also receive a T-shirt, a $ 50 restaurant voucher, and their picture in the restaurant's hall of fame.

However, customers must complete the task in 30 minutes or less to win the award.

The hot dog, which is topped with melted cheese, spring onions, and tomatoes, is so big that customers have to give the restaurant 24 hours notice of their order.

After the restaurant posted the new challenge on social media, eager customers flooded the comments by tagging friends and family members.

"I assume you'll be doing this in 20," said a man online, tagging a friend.

"A kilogram, maybe three kilograms, is more than ridiculous," said another.

"We know someone who can smash that without a care," added a third.

For those not interested in the mega-food challenge, the restaurant also sells regular $ 9 hot dogs.

The restaurant is open daily between 11.30am and 8.30pm and also offers burgers, shakes and drinks.
