A prisoner was charged with murder after an inmate died in a Queensland prison on Sunday.
A 27-year-old man was found unconscious in his cell at the Borallon Training and Correctional Center in the southeastern state, 60 kilometers west of Brisbane, at around 5:30 am on Sunday.
The inmate was declared dead at the scene despite desperate attempts to revive him.

"The resuscitation was initiated immediately by the officials, but the man could not be resuscitated," said a Queensland Corrective Services statement.
“Incidents of this kind are challenging and difficult, and we thank our officials for their efforts to help the man. They are supported by management and employee support services. & # 39;
"We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the man."
The death was referred to the Queensland Police, which released a statement Monday that a 42-year-old prisoner was charged with murder.
The man is slated to appear before Magistrates Court in Brisbane on Monday.
