The police are looking for a convict who has fled a low-security prison farm.

Matthew Thomas Campbell was reported missing at around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Townsville Correctional Center in Queensland.

The 29-year-old is currently serving a year and six months behind bars for illegal use of a motor vehicle, the Townsville Bulletin reported.

Members of the public are asked to keep an eye out for Campbell, who has multiple tattoos, including "One Life One Chance" on the neck and "Never Retreat Never Surrender" on the right forearm.

A spokesman for the Queensland Correctional informed the publication that an investigation into Campbell's escape would take place.
