Naya Rivera sent a photo of her four-year-old son Josey to a family member 90 minutes before he was found on her pontoon boat, showing the bay to which they had sailed
A body was found in search of the missing Glee actress Naya Rivera, who disappeared on a California lake and was feared to have drowned six days ago.
The authorities still have to officially confirm that the body is that of the 33-year-old.
They announced the grim discovery on Twitter and said, “A body was found on Lake Piru this morning.
"The restoration is in progress."
The actress's family rushed to the lake on Monday morning and some of her Glee Castmates, including Heather Morris, were also there.
Rivera disappeared on Lake Piru on Wednesday after taking a pontoon boat on the water with her four-year-old son Josey.
A Ventura policeman told DailyMail.com that it was "bad" and "devastating" to see the family's grief.
Ventura Sheriff's Sergeant Marta Bugarin said the county search and rescue team found the body floating in Piru Lake at around 9:10 a.m. on Monday.
"We have had the teams in the water for the past six days and this morning, shortly after 9:00 am, they found a body in the water," said Sgt Bugarin. & # 39; It was found in the northern part of the lake.
& # 39; A search and rescue team and a diving team were on the way, about 20 people were out this morning to continue the search. You were in a boat and saw the body floating. & # 39;
Sgt Bugarin told DailyMail.com that the family rushed to the lake as soon as the police called.
"The family was not there at the time, but they were obviously notified and they are here now," she said. "Now we are on the sixth day, it is difficult for everyone involved.
"Yes, we do a job, but we are also people and we can empathize with the family and what it is going through.
"Especially when you are here in the last few days and see the family, it is pretty nerve-wracking, as you can imagine." Only the sadness around everything, it is incredibly sad.
"We too, of course not to the extent that it affects the family, but it takes a toll on all emotions. Their grief is pretty devastating. & # 39;

Last week, a member of the DailyMail.com diving team said that gases released by a corpse that decomposes underwater would cause it to rise to the surface, usually after four to seven days, unless it did caught on branches or tangled in the underwater vegetation.
Police said the county coroner had been called and would take the body back to her office to officially identify her and perform an autopsy.
The sheriff's department would not release any further details about the body.
On Monday, they were sanding in a bay where the actress took a photo of Josey and sent it to a relative 90 minutes before he was found on the boat.
They concentrated their search on this bay on Monday.
The actress grew up and was familiar with it 20 miles from the lake, police sources said last week.
She considered it her "haven", although it is known for currents and icy water that swimmers can overwhelm.
A press conference on the discovery on Monday is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time.
On Sunday, Naya's troubled family was seen at the lake trying to help investigators find her.
Josey told the police that his mother "jumped in" and never came to the surface again.
He was wearing a life jacket, but the actress's was on the pontoon when he was recovered.
A picture was sent to a family member showing the boy on the boat on a bay. We found out where this bay is, ”said Robert Inglis of Ventura County's Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue Team to Weekly.
He said earlier: "I suspect the wind was stirring.
“These pontoon boats are very light, and if you push them, they can get away from you. You may have tried swimming after the boat. But that's all speculation. Once we find it, many more questions will be answered. & # 39;
The police did not share the picture and it is unclear in which bay it was taken. At the weekend they asked the public not to look for the star in the dangerous water themselves.
The actress's father, George, appeared to help coordinate the hunt for his missing daughter on Sunday after police confirmed that nothing had happened in the search for huts on Lake Piru.

On Sunday, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office announced that huts on the shores of the lake would be searched after social media users suspected that Rivera could have landed in one.
But Sgt. Shannon King later said to the people, "They are not occupied. Nothing came of it. There is no evidence that she has left the water. It seems 100 percent just a tragic drowning. & # 39;
The lake itself is 1,200 hectares and can reach depths of up to 130 feet.
The authorities point to a barely visible piece of branch that highlights the challenges that divers face when trying to find the missing mother of a child.
With almost zero visibility, human divers resort to feeling, which means that the crews can take a few days to find their bodies, Eric Buschow, spokesman for the Ventura County sheriff's office, said at a press conference on Friday evening .
"We don't know if it will be found in five minutes or five days, so we will continue to do so," he said.
"The visibility in the water is one to two feet," added Buschow.
