The Archbishop dedicates a new altar in the church where a 37-year-old priest recorded a threesome

The Archbishop of New Orleans has dedicated a new altar in a Pearl River church after its predecessor was burned on allegations.

Archbishop Gregory Aymond appeared at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul on Saturday to sanctify the new altar after ordering the old one to be removed and ritually burned earlier this week.

Aymond also slammed Rev. Travis Clark's "demonic" behavior after the 37-year-old was arrested for having a threesome with Mindy Dixon and Melissa Cheng, both professional dominants, in the church on Sept. 30.

“His behavior was obscene. The desecration of this church and the altar is demonic – demonic, ”said Aymond from the pulpit. “There is no excuse for what happened here. It is sinful and totally unacceptable. "

Dixon describes himself as "the embodiment of sin exquisitely worked into flesh and bones".

Aymond also accused Clark of "being unfaithful to his calling" and "violating his commitment to celibacy, and he also used what was sacred to do demonic things".

The alleged tryst was revealed when a passerby, who after hours noticed that the lights of the church were on, peered through a window of the sacred building.

The witness saw the scantily clad women in corsets and the priest partially clothed. Stage lights, sex toys and a cell phone on a tripod should also be on the stage.

The authorities were called and all three involved were charged with profanity for having sex in a public place. The altar was reportedly visible through the window.

While denouncing Clark's alleged sexual exploits, Aymond asked the ward, not to judge the Church or the priesthood as a whole, based on Clark's actions.

The archbishop reiterated that the church was a holy place and said that if the church is used for unholy things, "and has been desecrated, we must drive out the evil spirit. That is what we do today"

"This is a new altar," he continued. "It is a gift from the Archdiocese of New Orleans to remind you how much we care for you and how sorry we are that you went through this very, very difficult time."

Aymond then introduced Rev. Carol Shirima and said the new pastor would be "the father of this family".

Outside the Church, ward members said they would heed Aymond's urging not to rush to court.

“I think a man doesn't define our Catholic faith. A man doesn't define our church or church. We also acknowledge that Father Dr. Travis as a person. We are all sinful. We all have our demons to fight with, ”Steve Fecke told 4WWL.

In a recorded statement on Saturday, Aymond addressed a second scandal involving local priest Rev. Pat Wattigny, who recently confessed to sexually abusing a minor.

"Regarding Pat Wattigny, when he informed us of the sexual abuse of a minor in December 2013, I immediately removed him from the ministry, reported him to civil authorities and made a public announcement," he said.

In a taped statement on Saturday, Aymond addressed a second scandal involving local priest Rev. Pat Wattigny (above), who recently confessed to sexually abusing a minor.

Aymond said in February Church officials received copies of messages exchanged between Wattigny and a student at Pope John Paul II High School.

They addressed the news and Wattigny cut communication.

"While our technology policy is not sexual in nature, it prohibits this type of communication," he added.

However, church officials later received a report that communications between Wattigny and the child had resumed.

Wattigny was asked to resign as the high school chaplain for violating technology policy. He was instructed to undergo a series of psychological exams and attend a 30-day retreat.

After a psychological examination, Wattigny admitted to having sexually abused the minor.

"What happened to Pat Wattingny and Travis Clark is unacceptable, sinful and cannot be tolerated," said Aymond.

"Let me be clear, both of them were immediately removed from service and will never serve in the Catholic service again."

Mindy Dixon, 41, whose name is Lady Vi

Cheng says, "I have studied the art of domination for years and it is my greatest passion."

Clark was arrested along with Mindy Dixon, 41 and Melissa Cheng, 23, after they were found at church on the night of September 30th.

Despite the profanity charge, her lawyer told DailyMail.com that Dixon, 41, and Cheng, 23, were not to blame.

"Everyone involved agreed to adults," said Bradley Phillips. “Everything that happened was behind closed doors on private property, and none of the alleged conduct was criminal in nature.

“The fact that this concerned a priest or took place in a church is completely irrelevant.

“The only relevant question is whether it took place with the public in mind. Of course this is not the case.

The evidence will show that a person had to enter the private property of the church and look through a window to see what was going on. So by definition it was not publicly visible. & # 39;

Phillips said it was "appalling" that Dixon and Cheng were "so slandered".

He added, "I would implore anyone who wishes to pass judgment to direct their energies elsewhere."

Clark, who was suspended, did not comment.

On Twitter she calls herself "Owner of the Church of the Satanatrix".

The website Nola.com reported that Dixon said on social media that she was traveling to the New Orleans area to "defile a house of God" with another dominatrix.

Cheng, who was arrested next to her, describes herself as a & # 39; Chinese / German 5 & # 39; 11 goddess & # 39; near Atlanta but returning to LA in 2020.

For the past 12 months, Cheng has offered her domina services in Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.

Cheng writes, “I have studied the art of domination for years and it is my greatest passion.

“I love to take a person apart, take them apart, and then put them back together … my way.

"To be able to bend men to my will and to force the mighty on their knees is a talent that I take for granted."

Cheng charges $ 350 an hour, she says, and provides a list of the fetishes she'll be recording.

"I'm also pretty good at martial arts, home schooled rather than classes that start as a kid," she writes.

“Be warned, I am extremely powerful and flexible.

'My ability to deliver flying kicks, spinning kicks, round kicks, side kicks, and paddle kicks to my opponent's weak, vulnerable areas with unprecedented lethal accuracy.

"Remember … I wasn't born with the Ming The Merciless sobriquet.

Clark was released from prison on a $ 25,000 loan. Cheng and Dixon announced $ 7,500 bonds.

All three could sit in prison for six months to three years if convicted of profanity.
