According to investigators, Britany claimed Armando told her to shoot her lover, but when she refused, he shot the victim three times.

"When she did not shoot him, Armando took the weapon from her hand," said a sentinel affidavit.

Two of the shots hit Amerault in the chest and one in the head.

Amerault, who worked for medical supply company Teleflex Medical OEM, was reported missing last Monday morning after failing to show up for work, according to a state police press release.

Amerault's friends and family said they had not heard from him since the evening of September 19.

According to the Sentinel, police announced the discovery of a body two days after he was reported missing.

Britany, who also worked at Teleflex, reportedly called the company on Monday and told her employers that she would not come in and quit. She told investigators that her husband attacked her too, leaving her with two black eyes and injuries to her nose.

In order to dispose of the body, Armando allegedly ordered his wife to drive Amerault's body in the vehicle to Errol.

Armando is said to have stopped in a shop there to buy tarpaulins, lighter fluid, household cleaners and a shovel, according to the Sentinel.

They then went into the forest and made camp. At that point, Armando Britany had Amerault's head cut off, according to an affidavit.

She removed the victim's head and he was buried separately.

Armando later had messages sent to Britany family and friends, saying she was moving to New Mexico, where his sister lives, authorities said.

Police were notified of the body Tuesday after hunters reported the barrons to the state fish and game department for violating the no-camping policy in the area.

While investigating the area, officers discovered a body that appeared to be wrapped in tarpaulin in a nearby stream.

Armando was arrested on Wednesday while driving with his nine-year-old daughter.

He was charged with the capital murder of Amerault's death and assaulting his wife. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and is arrested.

Britany has been accused of forging evidence, alleging that she maimed and hidden Amerault's body and, according to affidavit, tried to clean his car.
