The 20-year-old victim of domestic violence molested the abusive ex's family

A domestic violence victim got her own back by sending nude videos of her abusive ex to his family and bombarding his friend's grandparents with unpaid food stalls, a court heard.

20-year-old Shelby Gratty shared explicit videos of Teejay Etchells to publicly embarrass him after she fell victim to jealous attacks that resulted in him leaving her with a broken nose and cheekbone.

However, police were made aware of the clips after relatives of the 23-year-old were classified as "disgusted" by the content broadcast to them on social media.

Research revealed that Gratty had also sent still pictures of Etchells that were exposed in private photos she took of him during their affair.

At the Tameside District Court, Gratty admitted malicious communication, harassment causing public nuisance and criminal harm, and was instructed to complete a 12-month collective injunction.

Hyde-based Etchells is currently in jail for 33 months for illegally harming Gratty and is prohibited from contacting her for life on an injunction.

The couple had been in a relationship for 18 months but were said to be "volatile". Prosecutor Henry Blackshaw said at an earlier hearing: “He clearly abused and controlled them.

“He showed up at her address late that evening and started beating and asking for permission. She denied him entry and then reluctantly let him into the building.

An argument started and it became violent. He then left the address and returned shortly after when he went through her cell phone and accused her of fraud.

He grabbed her by the neck and choked her repeatedly. She describes her vision as blurred, but she has not lost consciousness.

The court heard that Gratty also persecuted the grandparents of one of her ex-boyfriends by organizing unwanted visits to their home from artisans and online food stalls

"He hit her with his fists four or five times and injured her face."

The court heard that Etchells' explicit films were circulated on social media last May.

First, Gratty shared a naughty video of him on WhatsApp before sending a picture of Etchells exposing himself.

One of the relatives who were sent the pictures told the police, “I am disgusted and don't think it appropriate to send me these videos.

“I don't have to see that. Shelby should understand that this type of behavior is not acceptable.

Another relative said, “I felt very weird. I don't want to see these pictures and I don't understand why she's doing it – her behavior is worrying. & # 39;

Etchell's mother said, “Shelby did this on purpose because she's trying to get back to my family because of the problems between her and Teejay. It is not acceptable for her to send videos and pictures of his penis. & # 39;

The court heard that Gratty also persecuted the grandparents of one of her ex-boyfriends by organizing unwanted visits to their home from artisans and online food stalls.

The elderly couple said they received five unwanted shipments every hour and were followed simply because their grandson was a friend of Etchells.

Police also received multiple joke calls regarding the address, which a woman falsely claimed was held hostage and stabbed in the leg.

The husband said, “The incidents just don't seem to stop. I'm nervous at home when the police show up and all the neighbors are suspicious of how often the police show up.

& # 39; & # 39; It adds to undue stress for the family, it is relentless, and I know it affects my wife even worse. She needs to be locked up, that's the only way to stop her. She doesn't care how that affects my family.

Etchings

Gratty received a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to maintain a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for 13 weeks

The woman said, “It's getting worse and worse and we know she probably sat somewhere on her phone to make all of this possible.

"I just want the harassment to stop, and I have no idea why she does it, other than that we're grandparents of a friend of her exes."

Gratty received a 12-month restraining order and was ordered to maintain a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for 13 weeks. She was also asked to pay a total of £ 450 in compensation.

Etchells had numerous valuable convictions for violence against former partners. He received parole for criminal harm in 2015 and battery in 2016 and was convicted of racially aggravated harassment, alarm and distress in October 2017.

He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison in 2018 for battery and criminal damage and the following year to seven weeks in prison for joint assaults.

In 2016, he threatened to kill a former girlfriend and vowed to throw acid in her face. It was alleged while he was in prison. Etchells called Gratty and offered to pay her to stay at a hotel instead of testifying against him in court.

He was jailed at Manchester Crown Court in September.
