Maisie made her acting debut with a young Elizabeth in The Other Boleyn Girl, alongside Scarlett Johansson and Eddie Redmayne.

That same year, Maisie stormed Albert Square as Tiffany, the daughter of Bianca and now a member of the traditional Butcher family.

Maisie has received numerous awards for her portrayal of Tiffany, including "Best Dramatic Performance by a Young Actress" at the British Soap Awards and "Best Young Actor" at the Inside Soap Awards.

In addition to acting, Maisie released two singles under an independent record label in 2016 and 2017. She made headlines in the summer when she was seen smoking a strong smelling cigarette behind the wheel of her car.

An angry source told The Sun of her strict signature before it was announced on Thursday: “It's unthinkable that Strictly would sign her after the few weeks she had. The show is the culmination of the BBC and gives emerging and established stars a giant leap towards greater fame.

“So it's very strange to give someone like this an opportunity, whose future was very unclear weeks ago. Maybe they see it as a way to pin down a rising star rather than go and take a young audience with it. & # 39;

She is reportedly still being investigated by BBC bosses who were also allegedly being hindered by her Signing a big bucks TikTok deal despite not asking soap bosses to do so.

Maisie, who plays Tiffany Butcher in the Soap, has apparently broken the terms of her EastEnders contract by signing a contract to promote musicians on the app.

Maisie has experience on the Strictly dance floor after winning the show's 2019 Children In Need special with partner Kevin Clifton last year. She told This Morning that the win was an absolute coincidence. I have a bit of dance experience, but I have no technical skills at all. I feel like I was very lucky with that, but who knows? I could be the dark horse & # 39;

Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing was signed to Strictly 2019, was a partner and appeared in the series' opening episode.

However, he had to withdraw from the competition after a foot injury during rehearsals so that he could no longer dance.

Jamie said at the time, "I just wanted to give a quick update because it has now been released. Zoe Ball's Radio 2 breakfast show announced Bill would be there. The comedian called and told the host of It Takes Two, “I wasn't in stage school to learn to dance, I didn't live for the dance, as some may have done, I'm not the master of the dance, I'm more of a caretaker of the dance, so it becomes quite a challenge. & # 39;

Meanwhile, ex-Marine JJ admitted on ITV's Lorraine, “It just got very real. I'm always looking for a challenge and want to push myself out of my comfort zone, ”he said, hoping that his friend Prince Harry would watch.

The 55-year-old comedian Bill has been rumored for some time. A source told The Sun, "It's a tough time for live performers so it seemed like a good chance for Bill to get involved in the show."

However, Bill announced in 2018 that he had been asked to play the dance series several times, but this put him off by the "judgmental" nature of the show.

Speaking to Zoe on Thursday morning, he joked that his famous long locks "fly free like a spaniel out of a car window". As for his dance background, the jolly admitted that he was "a little sketchy".

& # 39; Outside the stage, comics love an adrenaline rush, new challenges. And this year when things are so surreal we want to do that and learn a new skill, ”he explained, adding that his favorite dance is the hokey cokey.

New Recruit: The announcement was made live on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show by Zoe Ball. The comedian admitted, "I'm not the master of the dance, I'm more of a steward of the dance, so it's going to be quite a challenge."

Bill added in a statement to the BBC: “In these strange times we live in, it feels right to do something different and face a new challenge.

I am very happy to be part of this year's unique Strictly Come Dancing. My late mother Madrin would have loved it – I hope she will watch. & # 39;

Bill is a comedian, musician, writer, documentary filmmaker, and avid outdoor enthusiast, best known for his live comedy and TV shows Black Books, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and QI, as well as his work as a touring comedian.

His live shows always feature ingenious and original musical elements that draw on Bill's skills as a classically trained musician and multi-instrumentalist.

Until September 2014, he took part in the Invictus Games as a non-amputated cyclist for Great Britain and won bronze in the 1-mile time trial and in the 4 × 100 m mixed relay race.

He won gold as captain of the trike team for the men's IRecB1 Recumbent Circuit Race, as part of a British trio that crossed the finish line together.

He has had a media career since then, presenting greats such as the Paralympic Games, the Commonwealth Games and the London Marathon, as well as experts in The One Show.

“My whole life has been shaped by challenges. Whether it's a Royal Marine Commando recovering from my injuries sustained in Afghanistan and taking part in the Invictus Games, ”he told the BBC.

“Now as a TV presenter, I'm fortunate enough to see some of the biggest sports competitions in the world. Strictly speaking, it's a very different ball game in terms of the challenges I have to face, but I'm ready for an adventure and at least my mom will know where I am! & # 39;

Speaking to Lorraine on Thursday, he said he knew that his close friend Prince Harry would support him. “I know from a mutual friend, Dave Henson, that he watched him win his bronze medal. I think he'll laugh a lot, "JJ said.

'He's really a cornerstone in creating this opportunity because he created the Invictus games. He should be very proud that one of his guys has reached this level in the field he has chosen. I will give everything and I hope he will watch. & # 39;

When JJ talked about how his injuries could affect his dancing, he explained, “Ultimately, it's up to everyone I work with that the work is cut out. Just looking at myself on TV I can tell I have terrible posture and that is because of my injuries. I do not want any special treatment, but of course we have to level the playing field for it to be fair. & # 39;

“I have contacted my surgeon and my physiotherapist and we will have a team that holds us together. I'm not on this show because I was blown up or because I'm an Invictus Games medalist, I'll give it my all. & # 39;

Ten years ago I was in a dust bin in Afghanistan. This was never a thought or a dream. It's completely insane. & # 39;

With seven of the Strictly casts already revealed this week, the remaining list of attendees is said to have leaked as well.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, DJ Clara Amfo, boxer Nicola Adams, NFL player Jason Bell, actress Caroline Quentin, news anchor Ranvir Singh and pop star Max George were announced as the first group of stars to compete for the 2020 Glitterball trophy.

And on Wednesday evening, The Sun announced the names of the supposed other participants.

Ex-Home Secretary Jacqui Smith was among the names alongside Jamie and Maisie.

Save no expense: Jacqui made headlines when she was investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards in 2009 after she was accused of inappropriately designating her sister's London home as her primary residence, causing her to spend more than £ 116,000 on the An MP (pictured at the time) could claim her family's home in Redditch

Jacqui, 57, made headlines when she was investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards for her alleged involvement in the MP's 2009 spending scandal.

She has been accused of inappropriately designating her sister's London home as her primary residence, allowing her to claim more than £ 116,000 for her family's home in Redditch since being appointed MP.

She responded by claiming that she was only following the advice of the parliamentary authorities.

She is said to have claimed flat screen TVs and scatter pillows in her expenses and insisted that it was the "nature of her work" to furnish two houses.

One issue found that pornographic films had been purchased and viewed at the family home. It was later revealed that they had been appointed by Jacqui's husband, Richard Timney, whom she separated in 2019.

Then in May 2009 she hit the headlines when she named 16 “undesirable people”, including convicted murderers and proponents of violence banned from entering the UK – which led to her being sued by American talk radio host Michael Savage, who was on The List.

She resigned as Home Secretary in June 2009 and lost her seat as a MP for Redditch in 2010.

Caroline Quentin, Max George and Jason Bell were featured as the first three celebrities to participate in this year's series.

The big reveal came on Tuesday in the aftermath of The One Show – after months of uncertainty amid the COVID-19 crisis as to whether Strictly will even air this year.

Things were as good as always when the first participants were announced. Caroline (60) and Jason (42) beamed in via Skype, while Max (31) was personally sent to the studio and the producers snuck through the cellar to ensure secrecy.

Jonathan Creek actress Caroline has stated that she played ballet, tap and modern dance as a girl, but fears that her knees will let her down.

“I've kept it very quiet and it's really difficult because I like to chat, as you know, and it was so hard to be calm about it. I'm a little scared, but I'm really excited, ”actress Men Behaving Badly told The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Amol Rajan.

She added, “I remember some of what I learned (to dance), but my knees are 50 years older than when I last tried, and it is my knees and underwear that worry me the most as an idea.

"I hope my knees won't let me down and I hope the basics will meet expectations when I start jumping around!"
