Sam Burgess is charged with intimidation after the father of an estranged woman, Phoebe

Sam Burgess was charged with intimidation after an alleged argument with his estranged wife's father.

The 30-year-old Rabbitohs striker visited his two children on the property in the southern highlands of New South Wales when he allegedly got into a fight with Mitchell Hooke on Saturday 19 October.

According to reports, Mr. Hooke asked the NRL superstar to leave the family's three-acre Glenquarry farm – which Burgess did – but the police were called around 5 p.m. that day.

Officials filed an injunction against Burgess (AVO), and court documents showed that he was not allowed to get anywhere near the house.

The alleged clash was followed up by the police and Burgess’s lawyer was brought to trial on Wednesday.

"On Saturday, October 19, 2019, at around 4:00 p.m., the police were called to an address in Glenquarry, east of Bowral, for a domestic dispute," the police said to Daily Mail Australia.

Police from the Hume Police District were present, and an order to arrest domestic violence was requested on behalf of a 63-year-old man.

After further investigation, a 30-year-old man was charged with intimidation crimes (IT related) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

"It is believed that the man intimidated the older man during the incident."

Burgess is due on November 6 before the Moss Vale District Court for the ADVO matter, while the first mention of the indictment is for December 18.

In a warm letter to fans just hours before the indictment came to light, the English and British international announced his retirement after failing to recover from a chronic shoulder injury that forced him to take the current Lions tour of New Zealand miss.

& # 39; I absolutely loved every minute; the highs, the lows; the grand finale; return home; my injuries; my appointments with the judiciary. It was really a fantastic ride, ”he wrote.

“This decision was one of the most difficult decisions I had to make in my life, but the decision was essentially not in my hands. I am no longer able to be on the training field every day and consequently on the field. & # 39;

Burgess also wrote a tribute to his family who stayed by his side during the ups and downs.

“My family was on my side all the way up and next to the field. I love you all so much, ”he wrote.

& # 39; My time is over. I'm looking forward to my next chapter in life, whatever that may be. & # 39;

Burgess was 12,000 km away and was on vacation in Cabo, Mexico when the letter was passed on to fans of South Sydney.

Retirement ended in a tumultuous fortnight, starting with his second separation from Ms. Phoebe.

Phoebe was not on the farm during the alleged argument. The glamor couple split for the second time a few weeks earlier.

Burgess and Phoebe resumed their relationship in April after initially split up last December.

Since the breakup recently became known, Burgess has been filmed celebrating at his club's annual Red and Green Ball in Darling Harbor.

Burgess has also been associated with Jessika Power from Married At First Sight. Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed that the couple had exchanged "flirty" messages on Instagram.

In the meantime, Phoebe's friends have said that she plans to move to Bowral permanently to be closer to her family and support network.

"One thing is certain, it is definitely over and they are now trying to figure out how to become parents in the long term," a source told The Daily Telegraph.

But an insider claimed things just didn't work and Sam moved out a few weeks ago.

The source added: "The most important thing for them is that their children are happy and healthy, that is their priority."
