The most popular homes for sale as we dig deeper into the lockdown have been revealed and pose some surprises.
Usually these lists are dominated by multi-million pound homes that most people can only dream of owning.
But that ambitious window shopping seems to have been replaced by far more realistic expectations amid the pandemic.
Top of the latest list of the most viewed homes on the Zoopla property website, exclusively shared with MailOnline Property, is a static caravan for £ 45,000.
Most Viewed: This West Sussex static caravan cottage is for sale for £ 44,995
While stays amid the pandemic were commonplace, a static caravan takes it a step further to take a break.
Many people will have missed their annual overseas summer vacation and may even struggle to secure a booking closer to home as traditional UK tourist attractions like Cornwall are crowded in the summer.
However, a static caravan can guarantee a getaway, often at the time of your choosing – and some that you can even live in all year round.
Buyers need to carefully review the restrictions for each individual trailer park as there can be huge differences between them.
We recently reviewed what to consider when trying to buy such a property.
This particular static caravan – the UK's most viewed property for sale – is a holiday home at the Bunn Leisure location in Selsey, West Sussex.
It is a 2015 model with two bedrooms. Location fees for 2021 are included in the price of £ 44,995.
Lockdown Housebuying: Would You Buy This Static Caravan In West Sussex?
Tony Taccone of Myholidayparks.com said: & # 39; Because of the lockdown restrictions, quarantine rules and lack of international flights, people vacationing this summer, especially those with young families, turned to holiday parks.
& # 39; It explains the rise in occupancy at the holiday parks and sky-high prices.
"Given the ongoing pandemic, owning your own trailer or lodge could prove to be a good investment as you can access it anytime the park is open."
Meanwhile, the pandemic has also encouraged home buyers to look for rural and coastal locations outside of the cities.
The list of top selling homes for sale includes a two bedroom cottage in Torquay, Devon priced at £ 259,000.
Tomer Aboody of real estate lender MT Finance said, & # 39; This trend was caused by the effects of Lockdown 1, where home buyers are looking for more space – both indoors and outdoors – and gardens.
"There is also a growing desire for local village environments where people can work from home, shop locally and travel to London with good rail links if necessary."
The property market stayed open during the last lockdown, unlike earlier this year when it closed for a few months.
Tom Parker of Zoopla said, "This second lockdown has further stimulated demand for real estate."
