Meghan Markle and Harry share their Christmas card showing Archie's red head of hair

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released their first Christmas card since moving to California, featuring 19-month-old Archie showing off the head of red hair.

The couple plays with their young son in the yard of their $ 14.7 million Montecito home with the dogs Pula and Guy.

The card was posted on Wednesday via Mayhew, the UK animal welfare organization, of which Meghan, 39, is a patron.

It reads: "I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." The card is a drawing of a picture Meghan's mother Doria took earlier this month.

A spokesman for the couple said: "The original photo of the family was taken by the Duchess' mother at her home earlier this month.

"The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, was chosen by Archie and the tree will be replanted after the holidays."

The card offers a glimpse of the family home and Archie's playhouse.

“From a local California organization helping families out of homelessness to two of our UK patronages: one supporting animal and community welfare and the other, a memorial fund for a valued friend who helps raise children educate and fight poverty in Uganda We have recognized your work for all of us. & # 39;

Harry, 36, and Meghan moved to Montecito after moving to Tyler Perry's $ 18 million, 12-bedroom, eight-bathroom home in Beverly Hills after moving from Canada after retiring as senior royals in March.

In November, Meghan wrote for the New York Times about her July miscarriage. "Losing a child means suffering an almost unbearable grief that is experienced by many but that few speak of," she wrote.

The couple, believed to be spending the festive season with Doria, recently announced that they have signed a lucrative podcast deal with Spotify worth up to £ 30 million.

They will be producing and hosting their own shows as part of the newly formed Archewell Audio – starting with a "holiday special" that the couple hope will "elevate audiences around the world".

The deal with Sussexes comes just months after the Royals signed a £ 100m partnership with Netflix and days after Meghan invested in a $ 28-a-pack oat milk superlatte business that was later owned by hers LA neighbor Oprah Winfrey was advertised for free.
