Lee appeared in good spirits on the outing as he was chatting with a friend who passed him while he was out.

The outing is the first time Lee has been seen in public in a while. The comedian briefly retired in 2018 to appear in the play Pinter Three, while in the play Wither Would You Go? the year before.

On the show, he told Jonathan that the death of his manager Addison Cresswell "put things in perspective".

He said, “I don't know, I've got to a point in my life where – please forgive me for sounding very narcissistic – I was doing musicals, plays and films and I got up and you kind of got to a point are where you go "I don't know what to do next".

He added: "I want to visit my wife, she earned my time, I did a solid job."

Ross asked how long this was planned to continue his work, to which he replied, “I'm caught. That's it. Finished. This is the end. I'm not doing anything. & # 39;

Lee added another reason for his departure: the death of his manager Addison Creswell, who died after a heart attack last year.

"All I've ever done is work and Addison always put his arm around me and said," Don't worry, I'll take care of you. It's okay, "he said.

& # 39; My dad always said to me, "You have to work," so I was always working and doing comedy tours. I think I have ignored my wife for far too long and I want to spend a lot more time with her. & # 39;
