King is best known to international audiences as the host of CNN's Larry King Live, which ran on the All-News network from 1985 to 2010

The king's advanced age and poor health are cause for concern and put him at increased risk.
King has had numerous health problems, including a heart attack, prostate and lung cancer, and type 2 diabetes.
Aside from his poor health, King also has to deal with the fact that loved ones cannot visit him in the hospital, according to Friedman.
His 23-year-old wife Shawn King (61) and their two sons Chance and Cannon cannot see him.
King filed for divorce from 22-year-old wife, Shawn, 61, in August 2019, five months after suffering a stroke. He is said to have good relationships with his estranged wife, who communicates with King while he is in the hospital
But doctors and nurses in the hospital facilitate communication between King and loved ones.
King and his wife are still legally married and are said to be on good terms despite the fact that they are in the process of divorce.
In August 2019, Larry filed for divorce from Shawn just five months after suffering a stroke.
It was revealed last month that King agreed to pay his estranged wife, Shawn, $ 20,000 in lump sum plus $ 33,000 per month in spousal benefits.
The monthly payment, which will be released in new court documents from DailyMail.com, runs at least until the couple's next hearing in the Los Angeles Supreme Court, which is scheduled for April 29 next year.
While $ 33,000 per month may seem like a large sum, it only covers about a third of Shawn's monthly expenses, which she listed on court records as just under $ 90,000.
That includes $ 25,000 per month for renting her luxury home, $ 12,000 for clothing, $ 3,500 for groceries, $ 4,500 for hair, nails, pet grooming and gym, and $ 6,300 per month for her Provo, Utah vacation home.
But then Shawn admits she has over $ 7 million in net worth, including real estate and savings.
This was a tragic year for the veteran television personality.
Last summer, two of Larry King's children died within a month, his granddaughter told DailyMail.com. The 65-year-old king's son Andy suddenly died on July 28 of a heart attack, which his family believes is a heart attack. He was followed by his sister, King's daughter Chaia, 52, who died on August 19 after a battle with lung cancer. The king's granddaughter, Jillian, 31, said at the time that the TV show's 87-year-old host was still recovering from his stroke and unable to travel from Los Angeles due to the coronavirus. Therefore, he must watch as his son from Florida is buried on video.
"Everyone feels pretty bad and broken." Larry is really hurt and upset, ”Jillian said in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com in August.
“He was very sick last year. His children all looked after him very carefully. He's upset that he's lost her now. "
King has three other children; Larry Jr., 58, from his brief marriage to Annette Kaye and sons Chance, 21, and Cannon, 20, from his marriage to Shawn.
The bereaved Jillian described her shock when she heard the news of her father Andy’s sudden death – even while grappling with another death of her father-in-law in Kentucky in early July.
In November 2019, Larry King told the news site Extra that he had recovered and spent two weeks in a coma after suffering a stroke the previous March.
& # 39; I had a stroke. Everything got better except for my left foot and I rehabilitated that every day and they tell me I will be walking until Christmas, ”he said.
“I ran with a hiker. It's been a tough year, I don't remember anything since March.
"I haven't driven a car yet, but I'm back at work and I feel great."
In an interview, Larry assured fans that his doctors were impressed by his positive attitude: "My chief doctor said I have an incomparable spirit."
Shawn, who mothered Larry's two youngest sons, Chance, 21 and Cannon, 20, previously joked that she was "the only one (woman) who lived in the two digits". The couple filed for divorce in 2010, but later tore up the papers – only to apply for divorce again in August 2019 after 22 years of marriage
The Larry King Show star had a complex and storied love life with eight marriages to seven women and fathered five children.
He married Alene Akins twice, adopted their late son Andy in their first marriage, and fathered his late daughter Chaia in their second.
After divorcing Alene in 1972, he married Freda Miller, Annette Kaye, Mickey Sutphin, Sharon Lepore, Julie Alexander, and most recently Shawn Southwick in 1997.
