Shelley Anne Lewis, 43, had been in a relationship with Epstein for three years when Prince Andrew was accused of having slept with sexually trafficked teen Virginia Roberts.

When asked by MailOnline whether the family knew about their relationship with Epstein, their father Brian Lewis (71) said: “It is difficult to answer this question.

As a young girl, we knew she saw someone in New York.

"So yes, we did it".

Cheshire, the retired businessman, talked about the family's sprawling million-pound house near affluent Knutsford, adding, “Everything is fine now.

"It's just going crazy."

A neighbor said: "It's shocking that she caught up with Epstein.

"The family is very nice and will be horrified to be connected to this man."
