Hope Hicks tested positive for coronavirus after traveling with Donald Trump on Air Force One to and from the debate on Tuesday.
31-year-old Hicks, who acted as an advisor to the president and traveled with him to a rally on Wednesday, tested positive on Thursday, according to an administrative official who spoke about private health information on condition of anonymity.
She's the closest to Trump to test positive. She was previously the White House communications director and rejoined the administration before the elections that year. There is no evidence that the president has the virus.
Hicks traveled with the president several times this week, including Marine One, the presidential helicopter, to the rally in Minnesota on Wednesday and on board Air Force One for the first presidential debate in Cleveland on Tuesday night.
She was seen dismounted from Air Force One in Cleveland without a mask.
Hicks traveled with the President to a rally in Pennsylvania last Saturday where she was seen maskless and clapped in the Village People's YMCA.
The White House didn't immediately respond to several questions about Trump's latest test and whether he and other staff members who have spent time with Hicks in the past few days will be asked to quarantine.

Several White House officials have tested positive for the virus, including Katie Miller, Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary, National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien and one of the President's personal servants.
After previous positive cases near the President, the White House introduced a daily testing program for the President's senior staff. Others who are in close proximity to the President and Vice President, including reporters, are also tested daily.
Hicks is understood to mean symptoms of the disease.
Trump is seen repeatedly in public without a mask and in close proximity to his employees.
