Generous Trump puts money in the church collection box in Las Vegas

President Donald Trump attended a high-energy service at the International Church of Las Vegas on Sunday morning where he pulled out eight bills that appeared to be $ 20 to put on the collection plate.

The service consisted of a concert, prayer hour, and even a rally as the Church's pastor, Paul Marc Goulet, ticked off a list of Trump's accomplishments.

"He gave the church back a voice," said Goulet. "He gave the unborn a voice," added the pastor, and Trump deserved loud cheers and sometimes a standing ovation from the crowd.

Goulet also thanked Trump for his third appearance in the non-denominational Christian church, where members worship music and flag dancers. “This is your third time here. That means you really are a member of the Church, "said Goulet.

Trump attended the indoor service along with aides Hope Hicks, Kayleigh McEnany and Dan Scavino.

Only a few worshipers wore masks.

Goulet spoke about the need in the community due to the high unemployment rate in the region due to the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Right now we're feeding around 25,000 people a month in the city. Because, Mr. President, we had an unemployment rate of 28 to 29 percent in our town and in our Clark County, so there were only cars waiting, ”said Goulet.

Goulet teased Trump's trip to church in a Twitter video On Saturday afternoon there were "loads of surprises" and it would be "super, super cool".

"Come very early to get a good seat," he advised parishioners.

“And I am going to share an enormous prophetic word that I believe has been downloaded into my brain and heart by God. And I want to pass it on to you, ”said Goulet. "I didn't plan to preach or teach, I planned to change plans."

Goulet also said food would be available to worshipers in need or to give away to hungry friends.

When Trump arrived, Goulet's wife Denise – who is also the church leader – said she had received a message from the Lord.

"It's good to see you again," she said. "At four-thirty the gentleman said to me: I will give your president a second victory," she said to a cheer from the crowd.

She explained that this means three meanings: "A victory that you will be president again."

She also used a play on words that said it could be like an athlete taking a second victory – or wind. “This is what the Lord says, He made your lungs, body, mind, and strength so that you have been in places of such high pressure for the past four years – and the Lord said He is ready for the next four years. & # 39;

Third, she pointed out, "The second wind – with a D – is the Holy Spirit," she said, and received loud applause from the crowd.

Trump attended church a few hours after his rival, Democratic candidate Joe Biden, did the same.

Biden attended Sunday services at St. Joseph & # 39; s at Brandywine in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware with his wife Jill.

The couple then briefly visited the grave of Beau Biden, the son of the former vice president, who died of cancer in 2015.

He and the ex-veep's first wife and daughter are all buried on the church grounds.

Biden has been consistently attending church since reopening.

Trump has not been to the church service in person since the end of 2019.

He attended a Christmas Eve service at a Palm Beach evangelical church last year.

He then led an Evangelicals for Trump event on January 3rd in a mega-church in Miami.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Trump did not travel to Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach at Easter, as he did in his tradition. He and First Lady Melania Trump were married in this church in January 2005.

Instead, he virtually attended Easter Sunday services and hired Pastor Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist Church in Dallas with a laptop.

However, one of the president's most memorable moments in 2020 was a church.

On June 1, Trump and a White House entourage walked through Lafayette Park shortly after Black Lives Matter protesters were evacuated with rubber bullets and tear gas.

One of President Donald Trump's most memorable moments in 2020 was in front of a church. On June 1, he held up a Bible outside St. John's in Washington amid protests by George Floyd

The president held up a Bible and posed for photos in front of DC's historic St. John's Church.

This move was criticized by political opponents and clergy.

St. John & # 39; s had suffered minor damage from protests the night before that had gotten out of hand.

Before Trump went to church on Sunday, he blew media reports of his botched coronavirus response, claiming again that the US only has more coronavirus cases because the country is testing so much for COVID-19.

& # 39; The United States is showing more CASES than any other country that Lamestream Fake News Media relies on on a daily basis for CHECKING at such a high (and costly) level. No country in the world tests at this level. The more you TEST, the more CASES you will report. Very easy! & # 39; he wrote.

He also re-brought up the New York Post's coverage of Hunter Biden's laptop, "a disaster for the entire Biden family."

The president also called it "the second largest political scandal in our history!"

The Post released content from a copy of a hard drive given to Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani from a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden.

Looking to link Joe Biden to Hunter Biden's overseas deals, Trump and his allies tried to label the Democrat as corrupt – putting the president on the right side of the scheme that had accused him.

The president was accused of pressuring the Ukrainian president to announce an investigation into Hunter and Joe Biden.
