- She and her friends had rented the Airbnb property for a fun weekend
- Ms. Chol was stabbed in the chest and bled to death by a 17-year-old gatecrasher
- When paramedics arrived, they found Ms. Chol dead and soaked in blood
Two young women told a jury about the last moments of their friend Laa Chol, who bled to death after a stab at a party in Melbourne.
Dahlia Ali told a Supreme Court jury on Tuesday that she went to help Ms. Chol after seeing her "kicked and beaten" by gatecrashers who she suspected had taken her cell phone with her.
Ms. Ali remembered trying to take Ms. Chol's youth group, who was stabbed in the chest by a 17-year-old boy during the fierce fight.

"Someone opened her jacket and then all I saw was blood," said Ms. Ali.
Another friend, Nyankor Joseph, told the court that she had rushed to Ms. Chol's side and was looking for a wound "because I saw all the blood."
& # 39; There was a lot of blood around them. She looked passed out. She didn't respond, ”said Ms. Joseph.
I raised her shirt to put pressure on her wound. It was on the left side of her chest. & # 39;
Forensic pathologist Matthew Lynch said the knife was struck with "at least moderate" force and pierced the sac around Ms. Chol's heart and right ventricle.

After struggling with the gatecrashers in the elevator lobby of the building, she stumbled back into the apartment and collapsed. She died before paramedics arrived.
Dr. Lynch said Ms. Chol had died of blood loss, including bleeding in the sack that surrounded her heart, causing heart failure.
She also had a superficial wound on her right hand, which could have been a defense breach, he added.
In cross-examination by defense attorney Sam Norton, Dr. Lynch admitted that when Ms. Chol was stabbed, others may not know how badly she was injured.

Paramedic Damien Dambrosi said he had arrived at 5.18 a.m. and found Ms. Chol passed out on the floor, "quite soaked with blood".
He explained that Ms. Chol died at 5:30 am and found no pulse and no “complete flatline” after the defibrillator pads were attached.
The murderer, who was 17 years old at the time and therefore cannot be legally named, is on trial and is fighting a murder charge.
He asks the jury to sentence him instead of the lower manslaughter and therefore get a shorter prison term for not intending to kill or seriously injure Ms. Chol.
The process is scheduled to continue on Wednesday.
