A body was found looking for a 15-year-old boy who was missing in a lake near a shopping center.
Essex police said the discovery was made shortly after 12.40 p.m. on Saturday and they had stopped searching.
Officials were called on Friday night after a teenage boy reportedly disappeared from the Lakeside Shopping Center in Thurrock.
The missing person seen at Alexandra Lake, Essex at 8:50 p.m. yesterday was confirmed to be a 15-year-old boy
Police said the boy's family had been informed and formal identification would be made in due course.
Superintendent Craig Saunders said, "I would like to thank the local community for their patience and everyone involved in the investigation."
The Essex police rushed to Alexandra Lake at the mall at 8:50 p.m. on July 31 after reports of the boy missing.
The missing person was later confirmed as a 15-year-old boy and the police asked for people to avoid the area.
