English stars Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood tried to sneak FOUR women into a quarantine hotel

Shamed English stars Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood attempted to sneak four women into their Island hotel while they were about to be quarantined before Foden exposed his bum to one of them while wearing only his boxers.

Icelandic beauty queen Nadia Sif Lindal Gunnarsdottir, 20, told MailOnline how she chatted for a few days with young Manchester United star Greenwood, 18, before he and his English star Foden Island for a Nations League game in Reykjavik visited.

Nadia and her cousin Lara Clausen, a 19-year-old law student, were among at least four local women who flirted with the players and discussed going to their hotel, although not all women did.

The pair of three lions, which both made their debut in England against Iceland on Saturday but have since been sent home, sneaked the young women into the team hotel.

A photo of one of them showed the father of a Foden, who has a long-time girlfriend, in his boxer shorts, his bum hanging out of the camera.

The women also posted a recording of the soccer players, titled "Chillin 'with Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden."

It is believed that Foden and Greenwood booked the women two rooms on a separate floor from the rest of the team and the women then allegedly spent a few hours at the hotel but left before breakfast.

Last night England boss Gareth Southgate branded his young players "naïve" and said he had "no alternative" but to remove them from the squad.

Both are expected to face disciplinary action.

Foden apologized last night in a statement on Twitter that read: “After the story that emerged today about my actions in Iceland, I would like to fully apologize.

& # 39; I apologize to Gareth Southgate, my English teammates, the staff, supporters and also my club and my family.

When Gareth called me to these Games, my first reaction was immense pride. Wearing this senior team shirt on my debut in England was an incredible privilege.

& # 39; I'm a young player with a lot to learn, but I am aware of the huge responsibility I have to represent Manchester City and England at this level.

On that occasion, I made a bad decision and my behavior was not up to the standards I expected.

I violated the Covid-19 protocols that were put in place to protect myself and my colleagues in England. As a result, I'm now going to miss the opportunity to go to Denmark with the squad and it hurts.

& # 39; I will learn a valuable lesson from this mistake and I wish Gareth and the team the best of luck this week.

Beauty queen Nadia claimed the couple had never heard of Foden (20) before the trip – but the four spent the evening getting to know each other and enjoying a "good night" together.

When asked how close they got to the stars in the evening, Nadia declined to comment and just said: "They were perfect men."

She said to MailOnline: & # 39; We met online. I spoke to Mason for a couple of days before they came to Iceland.

"They knew they needed to be quarantined, but we thought that since playing Iceland they had been tested before and it would be fine."

It comes after videos revealed how the English stars had a suggestive chat with at least four Icelandic girls and discussed the idea that they would join the footballers at their hotel.

One of the girls, Anita Gunnarsdottir, admitted to being filmed flirting with the players with a friend but insisted she decided not to go to her hotel. & # 39; I haven't met her. I'm not one of the girls who went to the hotel, ”she said.

The footage was shot hours after English manager Gareth Southgate confirmed the couple had been kicked out of the squad after the meeting with girls at the team hotel in Iceland was filmed.

Foden: Say that again, what did you say?

Girl: "What's the plan?"

Foden: What's the plan?

Girl: & # 39; Mhmm & # 39;

Foden: (to Mason) Mason, what's the plan?

Mason: It depends what you want

Foden: He says it depends on what you want.

Girl: "We can come to the hotel, but I don't know how you're going to sneak us in."

Foden: What are you coming to the hotel for?

Mason: what do you think?

Foden: What does she want?

Girl: "Yeah what do you think brother?"

Girl: (speaks to her friend in Icelandic)

Mason and Foden: Discuss. Hard to tell what they're saying.

Foden: Do you have a buddy?

Girl: what?

Foden: "Your friend?"

Girl: yeah

The pair will instead fly home to Manchester separately from the rest of the English team.

Yesterday, Nadia apologized for her part in the incident, saying she felt "really, really, really bad".

She told MailOnline, “I really feel sorry for you and I never wanted to put you in that position. But we didn't know any better and we didn't know they were being quarantined or we would not have met them.

“We didn't even know who Phil was. I asked Phil who he was. I don't like football that much. I don't watch football at all.

"We didn't even know Mason was playing for Man United."

She added, “We haven't spoken to them since. We don't want to interrupt them because they are going through a lot. You haven't contacted us.

“It was of course a good night that we had. All four of us spent time together and got to know each other. They were nice people. Really very, very nice. & # 39;

Lara added: “You were still young. We were all young and stupid and we all make mistakes. You treated us really well. They were such masters. Really nice people. & # 39;

Reports of the hotel meeting came after Greenwood and Foden made their debut in England's 1-0 away win over Iceland in the Nations League on Saturday.

England coach Gareth Southgate confirmed that the couple will travel home separately from the rest of the team.

The national team came to Iceland after being exempted from the country's quarantine rules. This means that all foreign travelers must be quarantined for 14 days – regardless of how long they stay in the country.

Instead, Gareth Southgate's men were forbidden from meeting anyone outside their bladder and were only allowed to go to them Training opportunities and the game in the country.

ISLANDS COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

Iceland has strict quarantine rules for arriving travelers.

As of August 19, all travelers from risk areas to Iceland entering the country are required to complete a 14-day quarantine.

This applies regardless of the length of the planned stay in Iceland or the purpose of the visit.

It can be shortened by having a COVID-19 test on arrival and again on the fifth day of quarantine.

However, the English team have signed a deal with the Icelandic authorities to allow the team to play against Iceland in the Nations League on Saturday.

As part of the rules, the English team were told to isolate themselves at the hotel and only go to practice and games.

The couple's behavior in returning girls has also violated the FA's Code of Conduct for International Service Players.

In the short clip, Foden and Greenwood appear to be wearing their new England training clothes, and the players are now in hot water with management.

In an interview with DV, one of the girls in the Snapchat video allegedly shot in the hotel room said, "We had no idea about these (Covid-19) rules, they never said we couldn't take photos."

Another girl claimed to have informed the English stars that the pictures were circulating with a Snapchat message, but "they did not open them".

She also claimed to have "spoken to one of the boys for a few days".

She said, “All I can say is that I spoke to one of them for a few days. I won't say where. & # 39;

Foden has a two-year-old son and a longtime girlfriend, while United star Greenwood split from his model girlfriend in May.

Manchester City midfielder Foden started for Gareth Southgate's side against Iceland on Saturday night and made his international debut as a senior.

Meanwhile, Greenwood, who played for Manchester United at the end of last Premier League season, came off the bench to receive the same award.

While the pair would have been looking forward to England's next game against Denmark in Copenhagen on Tuesday night, they will now leave Iceland and return home.

The two were not in English practice on Monday and it was then confirmed that they would leave camp and travel home before the team's second and final game.

The English boss Gareth Southgate faced the media for a press conference at which he discussed the topic.

He said: “Two of the boys broke Covid-19 guidelines on our safe bladder.

& # 39; We had to decide very quickly that they have no interaction with the rest of the team and that they cannot train.

& # 39; Obviously they were naive. We handled it appropriately. I know their age, but the whole world is involved in this pandemic.

"Now they have to travel back to England separately."

He added, "Nothing has happened in the areas we occupy in the hotel."

News broadcaster DV reported that the girls did not go to the players' room, but booked two more rooms where they could meet the woman, both reportedly from Iceland.

The news agency reports that initially only one of the women would meet Greenwood before a friend decided to go with her.

A spokesman for Greenwoods Club, Manchester United, said they were "disappointed".

The spokesman said: "Manchester United is working with the Football Association and is disappointed with Mason Greenwood's actions in this situation."

A City statement said: “It is clear that Phil's actions were completely inappropriate.

"His behavior not only directly violates strict guidelines regarding Covid-19, but is also well below the standard that a player from Manchester City and an England international would expect."

A spokesman for the England team added tonight, “While in Iceland, both Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood spent time outside of our private team space in violation of our COVID-19 rules.

“Although they did not leave the team hotel, this was an unacceptable violation of our protocol. They both apologized for their serious lack of judgment.

& # 39; The FA will open a full investigation into the circumstances that gave rise to this violation.

& # 39; We spoke to the Icelandic Association to apologize for this incident and to make sure we take the appropriate steps.

& # 39; We have also assured the Danish Federation that all other players and staff within our group were isolated during this time.

"Our immediate priority now is to prepare the team for tomorrow's game against Denmark."
