Janie Liszewski, 50, shared an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday in which she wrote that she "never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness".

Liszewski broke her silence over his death in a heartbreaking social media post on Wednesday, the day after her husband died.

"My husband, my love, my peep," she wrote alongside a photo of the couple's feet as they sat on a beach.

& # 39; My heart and soul have been shattered into a million pieces. I never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness.

"Our journey together wasn't always easy, but in the end we always have a connection and love that will always be."

She went on to write that his death was "the hardest part" and asked him to watch over her and her beloved pet, Pomeranian Kody.

"Saying goodbye is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, instead I say for so long, I'll see you again soon in a place without pain or grief," she wrote.

“Please take care of Kody and me. We love you and we miss you so much. Lots of love, your PooPee. & # 39;

Previously, she was a stunt woman who appeared in box office hits like The Wedding Planner and Spider-Man 2, and also had acting roles in CSI: Miami and From Dusk Till Dawn before working in PR in the adult film industry.

Shortly after she met her future husband, she started doing PR for his band only.

Around the same time, Van Halen turned his back on his wild rock star days and gave up drugs and alcohol for good.

Just a year later, the Hawaiian-proposed rock star and the couple tied the knot in June 2009 in a private ceremony with 100 guests in the garden of Van Halen's seven-acre estate in the hills above Studio City, California.

It was a family affair with Liszewski's sister, her maid of honor, while her mother – and 15-year-old Pomeranian Kano – led them down the aisle to Van Halen's song "When It's Love," performed by the Sonus Quartet.

Van Halen's song Wolfgang was the groom's best man, and his brother Alex, an ordained minister, presided over the ceremony.

Guests – including Van Halen's first wife Bertinelli – enjoyed mini hamburgers, corn dogs, ring pops, candy necklaces, and custom printed M & Ms with drinks from a non-alcoholic soda bar, People magazine reported at the time.

They roasted on French cider and pear juice as a tribute to Van Halen's newfound sobriety.

"They are dedicated to each other and experiencing life in whole new, positive, and passionate ways," a source told People at the time.

The couple has remained largely private because of their eleven-year marriage. In September, however, Liszewski responded to rumors accusing her of having an affair.
