Police have launched a hunt for balaclava-clad ram robbers armed with crowbars who broke into a jewelry store last night.

The criminals dumped Rajput jewelers on Roundhay Road in Leeds, West Yorkshire in a horrific robbery that left pedestrians for their lives.

CCTV footage shows the gang repeatedly backing a 4×4 vehicle into the shop front until the panes of glass fall out.

A video filmed by an eyewitness shows the gang entering the smoking building and stripping the jewelers of all their inventory.

The armed police and the West Yorkshire Force helicopter were muddled, but the gang escaped and are still at large. A cordon remains in place this morning.

One viewer said, “I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The robbers focused on getting in and out of the jewelers as quickly as possible.

"It's a wonder no one was injured or killed by manic driving."
