Camilo Villegas, whose four PGA Tour victories included consecutive BMW Championship and Tour Championship victories at the end of the 2008 season, spoke of her health when he contested a Korn Ferry Tour event last month.

"The PGA TOUR is deeply sad to have lost a member of our family, Mia Villegas," said PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan. "We mourn with Camilo and Maria and our thoughts and prayers are with the Villegas family."

"She was always a little monkey in the gym and I noticed that she wasn't the little monkey she always was," he said. "I don't know why, I just feel bad."

Mia would cry more often in the coming days, Villegas told reporters.

"Bad feelings came to my mind," he said. "I had heard bad stories here and there.

So I told my wife about [these] concerns. She told me not to think like that. & # 39;

Unfortunately, the March operation did not alleviate the problem.

"After the surgery, when it was time to remove the stitches, they learned that the growth had become quite aggressive," he said. "We were told we should start treatment immediately, so they kept us there."

Villegas has suffered a shoulder injury in recent years and has not been an integral part of the tour since his daughter's diagnosis. & # 39;
