Beloved actress Tanya Roberts is still alive, her spokesman said Monday – just hours after he and her husband announced she had died. Roberts is pictured in 2017
Bond girl partner Tanya Roberts learned during an interview yesterday that she was alive less than 24 hours after he and her agent announced she had died.
Obituaries for the 65-year-old former Charlie & # 39; s Angels star were released worldwide on Sunday after her agent told the media that she died at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
But in a stunning interview the next morning, her husband Lance O'Brien received a call from the hospital.
"Now are you telling me she's alive?" O & # 39; Brien said, his face torn with fear.
Sobbing, he said to the interviewer: “The hospital tells me that she is alive. You're calling me from the ICU team. & # 39;
Roberts collapsed on Christmas Eve after returning home from walking her dogs. She was taken to the hospital and later put on a ventilator.
O'Brien said Roberts felt uncomfortable the night before in the days leading up to her hospitalization.
Despite his joy to learn that she was alive, he has since shown that her condition is "bad", that she has liver and kidney failure, and that doctors have not given her long life.
The actress doesn't have a Covid, but a blood infection, which is believed to be the result of a urinary tract infection, but due to socially distant rules, O'Brien can only have limited contact and said goodbye to his wife of almost two decades on Sunday.
"I turn around and she passed out completely," he said to The Sun. “I thought that was that, she wasn't going to recover.
When I came down the elevator I was disturbed, I was lost, I was completely confused. There was no one to guide me. I called her publicist, Mike Pingel, and said I just said goodbye to Tanya. & # 39;

The video shows a look of shock on O & # 39; Brien's face as he yells into the phone, "Now are you telling me she's alive?" Then he bursts into tears and tells the interviewer: “The hospital tells me that she is alive. You're calling me from the ICU team. & # 39;
Roberts' representative Mike Pingel (to her left) issued a press release on Sunday saying the actress died on Saturday at the age of 65. But in a bizarre twist on Monday, Pingel announced that Roberts' husband had told him she was still alive

Pingel later issued a press release saying that Roberts – best known for starring alongside Roger Moore in the 1985 Bond film A View To Kill – had died.
He stated, "Lance really believed Tanya had died."
The spokesman said he learned the tragic news of Roberts' death of O'Brien, who told TMZ that he visited her in the hospital before her death.
When I caught her in her final moments, she opened her eyes. I could see her beautiful eyes one last time. Tanya had the most beautiful eyes, ”said O'Brien on Sunday.
When she saw me and I was there, I saw her eyes open. I felt good. I said, "Hey, your eyes are opening. Your eyes are opening." You told me it was just a reflex, ”he said.
Then Pingel announced on Monday that the O & # 39; Brien hospital had called shortly after 10 a.m. and told him that his wife was still alive – as seen in the Inside Edition video.
But Pingel added that Roberts' condition was "terrible" and told people, "It's not looking good right now. Keep them in your prayers."
O & # 39; Brien told The Sun, “Your kidneys are so far away, your liver is so far away, your gallbladder is so far away. She also has a terrible blood infection. Doctors say it started with a urinary tract infection.
"The doctors say there is no way she will be the same. She always told me that she didn't want to be an invalid. She said when the time comes, stop it for me."
He said he couldn't return to the hospital because he needed special permission because of the pandemic and would prefer to let her die with dignity.
DailyMail.com reached out to Pingel and Cedars-Sinai to clarify how O & # 39; Brien was apparently led to believe his wife had died.
Pingel (left with Roberts) did not explain what caused the confusion about her health
TMZ said it had heard from multiple sources close to the family who claimed O'Brien called them with news of Roberts' death on Sunday.
The outlet originally reported that Roberts had collapsed after returning home from her dog on December 24th.
She was rushed to a hospital and put on a ventilator, but "never got better," Pingel said, adding that her "death" was unrelated to COVID-19.
Before her breakdown, insiders said Roberts was "perfectly healthy" and took part in video chats with her fans.
In his original statement to TMZ, O'Brien said he was banned from visiting his wife in the hospital due to coronavirus protocols, but staff made an exception when her condition worsened on Saturday.
It's unclear when O & # 39; Brien and Roberts tied the knot, but the two reportedly lived together at their Hollywood Hills home.
Public records indicate that it was the same house that Robert shared with her first husband, screenwriter Barry Roberts, who died in 2006. Tanya and Barry had been married for 32 years and had no children.
