A 91-year-old was allegedly robbed by a gang of children armed with golf clubs that threatened him when he was in bed.

The man woke up in horror at his home on Claisebrook Road in East Perth between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on May 10 and was surrounded by three of the children.

The children threatened the man with golf clubs and asked him to give them money, the police claim.

The four children, the youngest at the age of 12, were also accused of attacking two others in the same area.

The man was allegedly forced to hand over $ 400 and they let him watch as he searched his house.

"It was terrifying," the 91-year-old told 9News.

"They wanted more money, but I had nothing left to give."

Police officers say they found forensic evidence in the man's house that matched a boy suspected of robbery.

The evidence led to the arrest of two 15-year-old boys and a 12-year-old boy, all of whom were charged with heavily breaking into the home.

The three children were also accused of a killing spree that night, consisting of a house invasion on Robinson Avenue and an attempted break-in on Brookman Street.

While the 12-year-old boy was in custody, the police said he spat on a police officer and acted disorderly.

You have charged him with assault and disorderly behavior in a police station or prison, the police said in Western Australia.

The police have not found the fourth child involved in the crime and the investigation is ongoing.
