The British brother of rapper 21 Savage was stabbed to death "during an argument with a friend" on a property in south London.
Terrell Davis was killed last night at the Blenheim Gardens estate in Brixton.
Mr Davis, a 27-year-old drill rapper named TM1way, was doing some shopping for his grandmother when he got into an argument with an old friend who suddenly lunged forward and stabbed him, a family source said.
Mr Davis and 21 Savage, who were born in Plaistow, East London, before immigrating to the United States as children, have the same father, Kevin Emmons.
The source said, "I don't know if Savage has been informed since he's in America, but they are brothers."

Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage, 28, whose name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph but also goes by the surname Emmons, was arrested by US immigration officials last year because his visa expired in 2006.
He was brought to America by his mother when he was seven years old.
The 28-year-old Grammy-nominated artist was released from custody after paying a $ 100,000 loan.
The source added, "He will be devastated, but the whole family is devastated."

“Terrell didn't have any enemies I knew about and he wasn't involved in any gangs. He just focused on his music.
“He was really a good rapper and was about to do great things. He wanted to be like his brother. Everyone is in shock. "
Mr. Davis was found in a stab wound just before 6 p.m. last night.
The police were present but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A local resident told MailOnline: “I was playing on my PlayStation when there was an uproar outside.
I looked out and there was a young man stumbling around, who then fell into a small hedge.
& # 39; It's awful. Generally this property is quiet, but a lot of crime is committed in the surrounding areas. "
Relatives of Mr. Davis gathered at his grandmother's home today. One family member said, "We just want to be able to grieve in peace."
City police said there had been no arrests.

A spokesman said: "Police are investigating a fatal knife wipe after being called to a location in Ramillies Close, Lambeth, SW2 by the London Ambulance Service at 5:59 pm on Sunday, November 22nd.
Officers attended along with colleagues from the London Air Ambulance, but the 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The man's next of kin have been informed and are being assisted by specially trained officers.
“No arrests have been made at this point.
