President Donald Trump has invited Hunter Biden's former business partner Tony Bobulinski (pictured) to join his debate
President Donald Trump's campaign sparked another pre-debate surprise Thursday, putting a former Hunter Biden business associate on camera on charges that Joe Biden was "familiar" with his son's business in China.
Former Hunter Biden business associate Tony Bobulinsky spoke to reporters three hours before the last presidential debate began at the Marriott in downtown Nashville – and said he would hand over three cell phones to the FBI and meet with Republican senators about his past deals.
He said he was angry with Hunter after trying to use funds on a potential deal with a Chinese energy company that was his "personal piggy bank" from Hunter.
"I will provide the FBI with the equipment that will contain the evidence to back up what I have said so that I won't ask questions at this point," he told reporters who make up President Donald Trump's traveling press pool.
The televised statement came after Bobulinsky told conservative media that text messages showing Hunter Biden's business negotiations and references to his father were authentic.
The dramatic appearance came when Trump and Biden had to face each other in a final televised debate by the president.
Just a few hours before the third and final presidential debate on Thursday, numerous emails about Hunter Biden and his international business relationships surfaced. Joe Biden's family is sure to star in President Donald Trump's attacks.
Many of the documents show that Hunter Biden jealously affirms the value of his family name in contacts with his business partners. Some of the texts refer to “the chairman” in chats – a number that a partner has identified as a former vice-president.
In one of the texts, Hunter Biden's business partner, James Gilliar, asks another partner, Tony Bobulinski, to speak about the name Biden at their own discretion.
"Don't mention Joe is involved, it's only when you're face to face, I know you know that, but they're paranoid," he wrote, reporting Fox News in one of numerous revelations the network made "Unrelated" to Hunter Biden laptop information provided by Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani to the New York Post.
Trump brought Bobulinski, a 48-year-old Penn State wrestler and Navy vet who became an international investor, as a guest to the Nashville, TN debate to arm the embassies.
Fox News reported that Bobulinski was preparing to hand over electronic devices and records of his involvement with Biden to the FBI and to speak on Friday with officials on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, whose Republican majority is investigating the Biden laptop.
The messages stretch across the world from China to Romania and seem to show the efforts of the former vice president's son, who graduated from Yale Law School and founded Rosemont Seneca Partners – but acknowledged struggling with drugs and making bad decisions – to make money on his famous name.
The news was reproduced by conservative outlets such as Fox News and The Federalist, without any indication of who provided it.
Many are images of a Blackberry with the original messages, making it harder to verify that they were sent and received by Hunter and the people named in it, including his uncle James Biden. The device shown in many shots appears to have a cracked screen.
One of them is dated May 2017 and refers to a "campaign" by Joe Biden that not only did not take place at the time, but was considered highly unlikely. Biden himself said that it wasn't until August 2017 that he decided to pull out of political retirement after the violence at the infamous United the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA.

Warning: On May 20, 2017, James Gilliar WhatsApped discussed Tony Bobulinski about their deal with Hunter Biden and James Biden: “Don't mention Joe is involved. You are paranoid.
Who is the chairman? Hunter Biden expelled the chairman in an exchange with an unknown member of the group involved in the deal. Rob Walker later texted Tony Bobulinski saying, "When he told his chairman, he was talking about his father."
Source: The news came from a broken Blackberry and was reproduced by conservative news outlets on Thursday. In this message, Hunter again refers to the "Chairman" and this time says "an emphatic no". What that was is unclear
A text by Hunter refers to the business endeavors of a Chinese businessman who has since disappeared to be a "partner of the Bidens"
Puzzling Exchange: This text, dated May 20, 2017, suggests a plan for Joe Biden to run for president. However, at this point he did not publicly propose to do so and has repeatedly stated that he would not get involved until August 2017
Lucrative arrangement? Correspondence between Tony Bobulinski and Gongwen Dong suggested that the & # 39; Bidens & # 39; would receive a $ 5 million interest-free loan. What happened next is unknown
WHO IS WHO IN THE HUNTING FILES?
It was known that the vice president's son was looking for business deals in China. He traveled there on Air Force Two in 2013 and introduced his father to a business partner, Jonathan Li. After his father stepped down, he had a relationship with Ye Jianming in 2017
Chairman and founder of CEFC China Energy, 43. A prodigy of the Chinese energy world. Gifted a diamond to Hunter in 2017 when they were in a business relationship. However, in November 2017, the company was accused of bribery in Africa by the DOJ. He was arrested in China in March 2018, reportedly on the orders of Xi Jinping. Has not been seen or heard since, but a 2018 prosecution accused a senior communist leader of taking bribes from him
Zang Jian Jun
Senior executive at CEFC and senior executive at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce
The 48-year-old Penn State wrestler and Navy veteran turned into a California businessman who appears to have done other business in China. Unclear how he and Gilliar know each other. Other business ventures include an investment in a Chinese men's clothing company called VLOV
Administrative officer of Bill Clinton, who is now the co-founder of a technology-driven private equity firm, Pilot Growth. His wife, Betsy Massey Walker, was Jill Biden's assistant when she was second lady
The UK-born 56-year-old businessman lives in the Czech Republic. Set up jc2r in 2015, the company that's in the emails. It is no longer active. Gilliar appears to be breeding racehorses with his wife Erika and also appears to be an advisor to a holding company run by the leader of Abu Dhabi's son
Joe Biden's younger brother and a serial entrepreneur who has long claimed to benefit from his brother's political career. He and Hunter were in business together in 2006 when they bought the investment firm Paradigm Global Advisors, which they wound up in 2010 after links with a Ponzi scammer
The chairman and the big guy
Allegedly Joe Biden in many text exchanges, although Jäger's news does not directly indicate this
"Okay, you should be paranoid," was Bobulinski's May 20 reply.
Gilliar writes: "You have to emphasize H, does he want to be the reason or factor that blows up his father's campaign?"
In another group message, Hunter Biden wrote to Bobulinski: “Hey TONY, I have no idea. Given that we are at a kind of dead end street, both James & # 39; lawyers and my chairman gave a resounding NO. I think we should all meet in Romania on Tuesday next week.
Biden has refused to do business overseas, calling the publication of emails from his son Jäger's laptop a "smear".
Trump made plans to bring Bobulinski into the debate as his "special guest," an obvious attempt to rattle Biden and steal a piece from his 2016 playbook when he brought Clinton sex prosecutors to debate.
In another document, Fox reported in 2017 about an email from Joe Biden's brother James to his business associates.
"Domestic contacts / projects in the first phase" and "Main contacts in Germany for target projects in the first phase" are listed in the email. It then lists biographical information on a variety of key Democratic figures, including New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, California Senator Kamal Harris (now Joe Biden's runner-up), and former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.
The descriptions contain standard biographical information and no indication that they participated or even been contacted. Former Florida Republican governor and now Senator Rick Scott was also listed.
The tranche of information, much of which was reported by presidential support agencies, comes as Trump said he would approach Hunter Biden on the Nashville debate – and continue his explosions of "corruption" that he debuted on the campaign, where He called the Bidens a "criminal family".
An email from 2017 asked whether the chairman “only operates infrastructure” or “is looking for technology deals”.
Hunter Biden replied, "Anything – the only thing I told them I wouldn't do is defense-related technology and weapons and anything that would give the Chinese a military advantage."
An email dated May 19, 2017 from partner Rob Walker stated that "Chairman" refers to "his father".
They emerge weeks after Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani released information that he said would prove the Biden family's "corruption" and put the race back on hold. Biden has a consistent lead in national polls and on the battlefield.
Bobulinski issued a statement Wednesday in which he saw Biden in person discuss deals with his son Hunter, contradicting claims made by the former vice president.
"I saw Vice President Biden say he never spoke to Hunter about his business," said Bobulinski, an investor who was part of a 2017 joint venture with the younger Biden.
"I've seen firsthand that this isn't true because it wasn't just about Hunter, they said they would bring the Biden family name and legacy to the line."
Bobulinski, 48, claimed that the Chinese were chasing the deal as a "political or influential investment" and that Hunter Biden "was using the company as his personal piggy bank, simply taking money out as soon as it came from the Chinese." & # 39;
He said in his statement that he "took steps to prevent this". In 2017, Biden was out of office and had no intention of running as a candidate in 2020.
The Senate Homeland Security Committee said it would contact Bobulinski to speak to him.
"The committee is working to validate information that comes from multiple sources," the Republican majority said in a statement.
'As part of this effort, we reached out to several people named in recent emails, including Tony Bobulinski. We look forward to your collaboration in uncovering the truth. & # 39;
Bobulinski called the company Sinohawk Holdings. Founded clandestinely in Delaware in 2017, this company did not file annual reports, and was canceled by the Delaware regulator in June 2020 for failing to pay its state tax assessment. Nobody is named in the company's records.
THE BUSINESS PARTNER SPEAKS
My name is Tony Bobulinski.
The facts set out below are true and accurate; They are not a form of disinformation at home or abroad. Any suggestion to the contrary is wrong and offensive.
I am the recipient of the email published seven days ago by the New York Post that showed Hunter Biden and Rob Walker a copy. This email is real. This afternoon I received a request from the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Finance Committee requesting all documents relating to my business dealings with the Biden family and various foreign companies and individuals. I have extensive relevant records and communications and I intend to bring these points to both committees in the near future.
I am the grandson of a 37 year old Army Intelligence Officer, the son of a 20 year old Navy officer, and the brother of a 28 year old Navy flight officer. I myself served in our country for 4 years and left the Navy as LT Bobulinski. I had a high level security clearance and was an instructor and then CTO for Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I am very proud of the time my family and I have served this country. I'm not a political person either. The few campaign contributions I've made in my life have been for Democrats.
If the media and big tech companies had done their job in the past few weeks, I would be irrelevant to this story. Given my years of service and devotion to this great country, I could no longer allow my family's name to be associated or associated with Russian disinformation or the implicit lies and false stories that are currently dominating the media. After leaving the military, I became an institutional investor investing heavily worldwide and on every continent. I have traveled to over 50 countries. I think we undoubtedly live in the largest country in the world.
What I am sketching is a fact. I know it's a fact because I've lived it. I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC / Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was accepted into the company as CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to & # 39; The Big Guy & # 39; in the widely published email of May 13, 2017, there is indeed a reference to Joe Biden. The other & # 39; JB & # 39; referenced in this email is Jim Biden, Joe's brother.
Hunter Biden called his father "The Big Guy" or "My Chairman" and often referred to asking for his approval or advice on various possible deals that we discussed. I saw Vice President Biden say he never spoke to Hunter about his business. I've seen firsthand that this isn't true because it wasn't just about Hunter, they said they would bring the Biden family name and legacy to the line.
I realized that the Chinese weren't really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They viewed this as a political or influential investment. When I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by simply taking money out as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent it.
The Johnson report connected several points in a way that shocked me – it made me realize that the Bidens had gone behind my back and been paid millions of dollars by the Chinese even though they told me they hadn't and would not do their partners.
I would ask the Biden family to reach out to the American people and outline the facts so that I would become irrelevant again – and therefore not be able to answer these questions for them.
I don't have a political ax to sharpen; I was just looking behind the Biden curtain and was worried about what I was seeing. The Biden family aggressively used the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from overseas businesses, although some were from communist-controlled China.
God bless America!!!!
Bobulinski also said in his statement that he was one of the recipients of the email from one of Hunter Biden's business partners, who signed a contract with a Chinese energy company in May 2017 that promised a 10 percent cut for a person who known as "the great" guy. & # 39;
Bobulinski claimed in his testimony that "the big guy" is Joe Biden.
The president has asked attorney Bill Barr to investigate his rival and is reportedly angry that FBI director Chris Wray has not done more.
Trump ally Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee, where the debate is taking place tonight, called on a special prosecutor to investigate the business relationship in Biden.
The affair had echoes from 2016 when Trump repeatedly called for investigations into rival Hillary Clinton, whose use of a private email account sparked an FBI investigation despite never being charged.
Bobulinksi was an institutional investor who, according to Fox, partnered with James and Hunter Biden to run their business with CEFC China Energy Co.
Bublinski told the network: & # 39; & # 39; I was accepted into the company as CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden.
He said of the texts and emails: & # 39; The reference to & # 39; The Big Guy 'in the high-profile May 13, 2017 email is indeed a reference to Joe Biden. The other & # 39; JB & # 39; referenced in this email is Jim Biden, Joe's brother. & # 39;
He was referring to an email referring to "compensation packages" in a proposed contract with CEFC.
When asked about emails allegedly showing business relationships with Joe Biden, Camp Biden pointed to its tax returns and other financial statements that did not show any income from China or other business.
President Trump has not published his tax returns, despite being pressed on them just days ago as a television town hall. The New York Times reported this week that the Trump Organization has an unknown bank in China.
Trump plans to bring the ex-business partner to the presidential debate on Thursday evening to confront Democrat Joe Biden on his son's overseas deals.
The Atlantic reported that Trump's aides were telling people that President's special guest is Tony Bobulinski, who told the New York Post he heard father and son talk about business, which the former vice president denied.
Trump performed a similar stunt in 2016 when he performed three women who accused President Bill Clinton of various types of sexual harassment and assault before and after the debate – Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick – and they left his rival, Democrat Hillary Clinton, in the audience .
Trump had also invited Kathy Shelton. Hillary Clinton had been her accused rapist's defense attorney.
Both Trump and Biden took coronavirus tests Thursday before meeting on stage between plexiglass barriers.
Trump left the White House shortly after noon with First Lady Melania Trump to fly to Nashville, TN for debate. It was the first time since she was diagnosed with coroan virus after the initial debate that she had been seen.
At Air Force One, he tested negative for the coronavirus, according to Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. "We tested him on the way here and he tested negative," Meadows told reporters.
The Biden campaign had previously said that he had also tested negative for COVID-19.
It's the final debate of the election – the previous one was scratched after Trump refused to participate in a "virtual" format after receiving the coronavirus – and gives the president a dwindling opportunity to try the race reset.
Trump hoped he could throw his rival off balance and show that his mind would be "shot" by repeated attacks and interruptions during the initial Cleveland debate. But Biden got a slight bump in the national polls that were conducted afterwards.
Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani sent information from Hunter Biden's laptop to the New York Post
Now the president has wired that he will accuse his rival of "corruption", just as he did at his election rallies before Thursday – and will not hold back, Hunter Biden after the publication of emails telling Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani brought out to set on fire said came from hunter's laptop.
Trump complained when City Hall interviewer George Stephanopoulos failed to bring Hunter up during his televised talk with Biden last week.
New changes imposed by the non-partisan Debate Commission will silence the opponent's microphone during the opening speech after widespread denunciation of the first encounter. However, they are free to interfere in the debate later.
The president's combative stance was shown in an interview he did with CBS & # 39; & # 39; 60 Minutes & # 39; & # 39; where he complained to interviewer Lesley Stahl after she asked if he was for & # 39; difficult questions & # 39; be ready.
"But you agree with some difficult questions?" She asked him.
"No, I am not," he replied.
Trump took advantage of previous debates for the theater after taking the stage in 2016. Clinton said he was literally following me. Trump's team also brought former rape and sexual assault accusers of Bill Clinton into the debate to get into his opponent's mind.
This time around, Trump says he will approach Hunter Biden after days of Hunter Biden's laptop reveal.
Biden sent his own signal to a reporter who asked him about the subject a few days ago.
On Wednesday he filed when a reporter from Wisconsin asked him about it in a television interview. "This is the same rubbish as Rudy Giuliani, Trump's henchman. It's one last effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family," said Biden.
Trump can also use the Hunter saga to refer to China – a country he has repeatedly accused of bringing the "plague" to the US. He called China the nation's greatest opponent in "60 Minutes".
Most political observers agree that Trump is under pressure to get something out of the debate. Biden's leads were permanent and millions of his supporters have already voted. It also has an on-air advertising perk, with more money in the bank after the Trump campaign blown the more than $ 1 billion it has raised since 2017.
